Australia One Workstream Update
As mentioned in the 14 August Australia One Program Update, a vision mobilisation design workshop was held at the beginning of August, providing an opportunity for representative members of The Salvation Army to discuss, debate and understand what The Salvation Army’s Vision means to Salvos, and being able to speak into and shape the ways that this inspiring Vision can be realised across The Salvation Army as it transitions to a united National Movement.
In the past two weeks following the workshop, members of the Australia One Program Team and consulting team have been working to take the design ideas expressed in the workshop and develop an approach leading up to the proof of concept to be held in early September.
With the design and approach now clearly defined, the design team, comprising members of the consulting team, the Australia One Program Team, Salvos Studios, Mission Support and Communications are now focusing on the development of the Vision Mobilisation Toolkit – a collection of media, facilitators guides and sermon outlines – ready for the Proof of Concepts in September which will be held at Catherine Booth College. This location was chosen as it allowed for a wide range of Salvationists to be represented at a single geographic location.
TSA Zonal Conference – Bali
This week Commissioners Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Colonels Mark and Julie Campbell, Colonel Graeme Rigley and Lt. Colonels Kelvin and Cheralynne Pethybridge are attending The Salvation Army Zonal Conference in Bali. One of the focus areas at the conference will be moves in international governance in line with governance principles established by IHQ. In response to an invitation by IHQ we will be presenting an update on our governance journey based on the announcements we made earlier this year.
