Hamish Blake and the Salvos launch Christmas website

The Salvation Army in Australia has launched its 2012 Christmas website, salvos.org.au/christmas, which is full of helpful tips and suggestions to make Christmas great for both yourself and others.

The site features cooking videos by celebrity chef Damian Heads (Ready Steady Cook) as well as recipes by culinary icon Maggie Beer. There are craft videos with innovative and cost effective gift ideas you can make, brought to you by craft expert Kelly Doust (Sunrise and Mornings). We also have helpful Christmas budgeting tips by Nine Network finance reporter Ross Greenwood and some of our very own Moneycare staff.

The site also has a list of local Salvation Army church services, carol events and Christmas lunches, as well as videos exploring the meaning of Christmas.

Salvos are encouraged to not only visit the site, but to also share it! Corps officers, share it in church bulletins and newsletters; centre managers and staff, share it with clients and customers; share it within your office; and don't forget to share it with family and friends!

Check out Hamish Blake's plug for the website.
