Take time to connect this Christmas…

1 November 2013

Christmas is one of the most powerful and precious times of the year – and one of the busiest.

In The Salvation Army, Jesus is our focus and Christmas is about bringing our communities together to connect with Him and connect with each other. Christmas is really about connection in its simplest sense.

For Christmas 2013, all our communication will be infused with the idea of ‘connection’ and will encourage people to “take time to connect this Christmas”.

This message captures what Christmas is about and gives us a way to invite people from all walks of life to join us in celebrating the Saviour. Whether you’re helping people in need, organising a carols event, inviting people to church on Christmas Day, or sharing the story of Jesus, it’s a message that can support you in your efforts to connect with your local community.

The Christmas website contains the heart of our campaign. It features the national television commercial, and the real stories of the cast who had their lives transformed through a connection with The Salvation Army. You can also find recipe ideas, budgeting tips, ways to donate, and assitance for those in need, at salvos.org.au/Christmas.

We know many of you are already busy planning for your Christmas celebrations and the numerous expectations placed on you at this time of year.

We’ve also created a selection of ready-to-use resources that will help you connect with others this Christmas. These item are available for you to download now by heading to the Christmas website, salvos.org.au/ChristmasResources
