Direct from the TC: Call to Accountability

29 August 2014

Dear friends,

The history of The Salvation Army in this territory and around the world bears witness to an organisation that has engaged with humanity at all levels. We were raised by God for a purpose! We have a desire and determination to bring salvation, hope and healing to a world so desperately in need.

Since our birth as a movement in 1865 we have indeed impacted the world for the better in many ways. We give thanks to God for leading us during these past years.

On this occasion I write to you to express my deep desire that we as a faith community remain determined to maintain the very highest of standards in the area of accountability. The failures of our past must never again occur in our Army if we are to be used by God for his glory.

The following link will direct you to an important message from General Andre Cox in which he addresses the importance of accountability worldwide. I ask that you share this link and add your personal endorsement to maintaining the very highest of standards across the organisation. Together we will move forward into a future rich with opportunities to serve the community of Australia and indeed the world.

General André Cox: http://t.co/OT4qKcW7n9

May God richly bless you.

James Condon
