International development resources for kids

Children seem to be born with a desire to serve others. Even a 2 year old will automatically comfort a crying baby by sharing a toy.  Christian children have an added motivation to serve God.  They serve the same God and have the same spiritual gifts as the rest of us.  Let's capture this, let's give them opportunities to serve.

The Salvation Army International development (SAID) team have created some great kids resources that will raise awareness of the needs of others and help your children make a difference.

Finger Puppets

A fun craft activity for kids church or scripture classes. These are available as black and white outlines, or already colour.

Money Box

This money box is easy for kids to make and decorate, and the finished product is a great way to encourage your kids to give generously. Available in black and white outlines, or colour.

Millenium Development card game

Millenium Development themed card games you can cut out and use. These would make a great gift and include instructions and a do-it-yourself card box.

The Salvation Army acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to elders both past and present.
