Access End Of Year Income Statements for 2018/2019 year end End-of-year income statements for employees and active officers will be available on-line via the myGov website from 14 July 2019. Payroll will no longer issue Payment Summaries. In July 2018 the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) introduced Single Touch Payroll (STP) - a reporting system where payroll reports everyone’s salary and wages to them on a fortnightly basis. If you use a registered tax agent to lodge your income tax return, the ATO will send your income statement information to them directly.

THQ Office Accommodation update Plans for refurbishment at THQ Redfern and minor refit at THQ Blackburn to ensure that resources are used efficiently, are underway with works due to commence in September. The project team will be working in consultation with respective departments over the coming months to understand processes and requirements for the organisation. |

Our People Count - Reminder for Mission Expressions with volunteers Our People Count is a new territorial requirement for the way data about our volunteer workforce is being collected and centrally recorded in NSW, ACT and Queensland. It will help to meet our legal obligations and prepare for Salvos Workday – the new national HR system that will hold everyone’s records. Our People Count - Phase 1 is focussed on collecting volunteer data from mission expressions in Community Engagement, Social Mission and any non-corps. While work is well underway with many mission expressions having already provided their volunteer records, data must be submitted before 31 July 2019. The Volunteer Resources team can assist to find solutions to get records up to date, irrespective of the current status of record keeping. Further information

HR makes the finals for an Australian HR Award The Salvation Army HR Department is a finalist for a 2019 Australian HR Award. The HR Awards recognise excellence and best practice HR across all organisations in Australia. “It has been a challenging time for us as we transition to the Australia Territory and the support and professionalism that HR provided has been invaluable for us to deliver mission and work towards realising our vision of transforming Australia, one life at time, with the love of Jesus. “Congratulations to everyone in the HR team for their expertise and commitment and for becoming a finalist in a very competitive environment,” Cabinet Secretary for Personnel, Lt Colonel Kelvin Merrett said.
