Red Shield Appeal – Alex’s story

21 May 2013

The Salvation Army's Café Horizons is a hospitality training cafe for young people in Sydney's St Mary's. Alex struggled at school until he began studying a Certificate II in Hospitality at Café Horizons. He now has a job and is hoping to one day start a family of his own.

Café Horizons relies on funding from the Red Shield Appeal to help transform lives. The Red Shield Appeal Doorknock will be held over the weekend of the 25-26 May. To register as a volunteer log onto salvos.org.au/doorknock or call 13SALVOS.
