Volunteer Resources Advisor - ACT & Regional NSW 

I support our Managers of Volunteers in our Nation's Capital and all our amazing regional areas of NSW. My role involves developing relationships, providing support, resources, training, and advice. It's a large area however distance is not a barrier to one-on-one support. I enjoy being an advocate for Managers to share their feedback and experiences to the VR team which helps guide our continuous improvement of VR Resources.

Ciska Burrie

Volunteer Resources Senior Advisor

Together with my Brisbane based team, my focus is to promote TSA's best practice standards and compliance in volunteer management by supporting managers of volunteers across Qld via one to one consultation and guidance, training individuals or groups of managers as well as volunteer teams when required. I am part of the VR Leadership Team helping to continuously improve our volunteer involvement practices and resources in TSA. I particularly enjoy learning from our frontline to improve VR resources and how we work with and support corps and TSA services.

Volunteer Resources Advisor

My primary role is to support managers of volunteers across South Australia and the Northern Territory to undertake safe and effective volunteer involvement by providing information, guidance, and training to build effective volunteer teams across our division. I have the privilege of supporting our Tasmanian Managers of Volunteers to lead and develop their volunteers. I help by providing you with tools, training and support so you will have confidence in your decisions, systems, and management for your volunteers. I work as part of the greater TSA Volunteer Resource National team where we continually create and develop more efficient resources, find solutions and help ensure we look after our volunteers, and you as the manager, so we can continue to achieve the Salvation Army Mission and Vision.

I work to support the managers of volunteers (MoVs) in Victoria with Peta McCormick and the VR Helpdesk. Understanding the different ways that TSA is represented on the ground, building relationships, creating connections and helping others to get the hang of what National Best Practice looks like in a TSA environment is all part of my job. I facilitate learning and contribute to projects as part of the VR national team.

Hi! I lead a team of VRAs based in WA, SA, NT, NSW & ACT.

My primary focus is to enable my team to provide excellent support to their respective Divisions and portfolios. I'm responsible for making sure we deliver in accordance with the objectives & priorities of our function. We are strongly focussed on continuously improving the way we work, to best meet the needs of our customers. Vincent Ciardulli

Volunteer Resources Manager (VIC/TAS/Nat VR Help Desk)

The focus of my role is to ensure my team is enabled to support, coach and mentor Managers of Volunteer.

The Helpdesk team provides day to day support and advice to Managers of Volunteers (MoV) and my role is to ensure this frees up our Volunteer Resources Advisors so they can invest more time in face to face support and coaching.

I also get involved in backing up the team with field or phone support when required. What I love is seeing MoVs discover that there are support and resources to help them be successful with their Volunteer Involvement

I have a keen commitment to enabling the Mission and Vision of The Salvation Army through safe and effective volunteer involvement. 

My role is to best equip and enable the Volunteer Resources team by giving each team member the tools they need to provide support to Managers of Volunteers and other key stakeholders. My focus areas include developing national resources and tools, project collateral and communications to support change management and key projects. Through consultation with the VR team, we aim to bring TSA the resources they need and through a lens of continuous quality improvement.

Penny Townsend

I have been assisting the VR team with the Our People Count Initiative and volunteer data in general. My responsibilities include ensuring the data received from sites is consistent and complete, and working with sites who are new to volunteer records management and data collation.
