As part of our connection theme this Christmas, The Salvation Army hosted an inaugural volunteer Christmas dinner on Streetlevel Mission's rooftop. Eighteen volunteers representing a wide variety of Salvation Army services took time to connect with one another over a Christmas dinner. The three course traditional Christmas meal was catered by Foster House and was served by members of the Salvos Ambassador Movement. Majors Bruce and Carolyn Harmer spoke on behalf of the Salvation Army and acknowledged the volunteers' selfless attitudes and tireless efforts for the work of the Salvation Army. Special guest Stan Walker was present, connecting with the volunteers, chatting and taking #wefies. Since its beginnings in Australia over 120 years ago, the work of The Salvation Army has been immeasurable enhanced by ordinary Australians who have given their time to help people find freedom.
