Homelessness Week |3-9 August 2026
As one of the leading providers of homelessness services in Australia, The Salvation Army's Homelessness Week campaign seeks to raise awareness of and advocate for solutions around the issue of homelessness.
We encourage all members of our community, including Salvos staff, volunteers, corps, partner organisations, and government sectors, to work together to eradicate homelessness and support people currently experiencing homelessness.
“Here is what the LORD who rules over all said to his people. ‘Treat everyone with justice. Show mercy and tender concern to one another’” (Zechariah 7:9, NIRV).
If we seek to follow the Lord’s command to “treat everyone with justice”, we can see homelessness ended — for good.
Homelessness Week Tooklit
Be part of the Homelessness Week campaign by using these toolkit resources to:
- Promote Homelessness Week and any relevant events your location may be hosting, for example art shows, barbecues or fundraisers
- Raise awareness around the issue of homelessness and highlight ways people can help to end homelessness — for good
- Highlight community support services for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness
