Since opening in late 2012, The Salvation Army’s The Waterhole community centre in Alice Springs has been working hard to ensure the centre lives up to its name: that it is a place of tranquillity, a place of meeting and a place of possibility. Captain Rhonda Clutterbuck is one of the centre managers and shares how the centre is serving the community. The Making it Happen project is supporting Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women through two important initiatives: the Waterhole and national programs supporting women who have been impacted by incarceration.
