Christmas Spoken Word Week 1: Before the Beginning by Shushannah Anderson

Christmas Spoken Word series written by Shushannah Anderson and Louise Mathieson, and performed by Shushannah Anderson. 'Before the Beginning' It’s nearly here - the Beginning. Curtain will rise, credits will roll, The new story unfolds... But it’s still a distant light on the horizon. What will we do While we wait for You? As for me – I will prepare. For before we move house, we pack boxes Before we may drive, we must put in the time And pass that test to be roadworthy. Before the flower blooms, it has to grow So me? I will prepare. Once before, You wrote the new story, Born into our world, that your life, death, and life again Offer mercies renewed for us every day. And You’ve written a sequel Inviting your people To ready Your Kingdom’s domain So we must ask again - What will we do While we wait for You? As for me – I will prepare.
