Day 9 National Prayer Focus | Respond Like Him Part 1 with Debbie Serojales

MAJOR DEBBIE SEROJALES, Corps Officer Sunraysia Corps - Victoria Division

DAY 9 NATIONAL PRAYER FOCUS 2022
Every day we can learn from the ‘rocks’ we trip over on the path, the ‘mountains’ we have to climb and the ‘rapids’ we pull ourselves through to get to our destination.

We might be bruised, soaking and tired … but we will have achieved what we set out to do, learnt so much about ourselves along the way and maybe what we could do differently next time.

Jesus says, “you WILL have trouble, but take heart ...”, basically, he is telling us that life is going to be hard, he knows how we are feeling and he is encouraging us to not give up and to lean into him and feel HIS hand encasing ours as we step forward, as we choose courage.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. What have you learned to do differently during your last challenging life experience?
2. What are you in need of today from Jesus? Listen to the song ‘In Need’ and write in your journal, create with some clay or contemplate what you need more of to help you in your current life situation.

The Salvation Army Australia’s National Prayer Focus 2022 is based on the book Jesus Centered: Focusing on Jesus in a Distracted World by Steve Brown. The Salvation Army Australia’s National Prayer Focus 2022 will be a powerful time of connection, rejuvenation and joy as we seek God and seek good together. The National Prayer Focus ‘Salvos Field Guide’ daily devotions and corresponding nightly online meetings will provide a deep and valuable prayer resource as we walk forward into the future.
