Hello Performers!

Aren't musicals just wonderful? They are accessible, entertaining and often powerful! It is just something about combining music, dancing and acting which creates it is a winning combo!

The Salvation Army actually has a rich history of sharing the good news of Jesus through musicals! (Some of you may of heard of some Gowans and Larsson musicals before). And we can continue on that history. Musicals are still a relevant medium in our world today. People are always going to see shows on Broadway, the West End as well as here in Australia! So what if we could share with others the hope and joy with have with Jesus through musicals? Whether through performing them with non-believers or inviting them to watch!

However you choose to engage in musicals, we pray that God would meet you right where you are. That He would use the musicals to speak truth and life to you, and that ultimately the musicals we, The Salvation Army, produce would always glorify Jesus.

Short Changed - a holiday club and musical designed for children aged 7 -12.

This resource brings together elements of craft, singing, acting, games and Bible teaching to help children explore the story of Zacchaeus in a new and exciting way.

For the Musical resources include:
Lyric and lead sheets, backing tracks, demonstration tracks, lyric videos, ‘armography’ videos and a full script.

For the Holiday Club resources include:
Activities with printable templates, instructions for games, readings and reflection times, as well as Safe and Sound paperwork and materials for a follow-up family service.

Spirit! 2: Empire

Spirit! 2: Empire is a gripping story that follows members of the early church and the apostle Paul, after his conversion. From the USA Western Territory, it was written by Karl Larsson and Kevin Larsson, with lyrics by Major Malcolm Westwood.

Backing tracks are available from the Music and Gospel Arts department upon request.
