INSTRUMENTAL PRAISE has been designed with flexibility in mind. Flexibility to ‘mix and match’ musicians and instruments to produce musical accompaniments for congregational worship. Throughout Instrumental Praise you will notice suggested instrumentations by using cued parts; there are many other possibilities for mixing instruments producing interesting, varied accompaniments. Don’t be limited by the written parts but be prepared to create an arrangement that suits your musicians and your needs in worship. Of course, this will mean rehearsing the form and structure you are wanting to achieve.

Additional parts for woodwind and other brass instruments have been included with the score. Some alternative instruments can utilise the appropriate brass part as indicated in the following lists.

Vocal Parts:
The three part vocals are intended for Soprano, Alto and a Tenor voice but any suitable mix of voices may be used; it may take some practice for the Tenors to read the lower part but persevere. If a four part choir is utilising the vocal parts the basses can strengthen the melody line or support the Tenor part.

Rhythm Section:
Piano, guitar, Bass Guitar and Kit can be added to the band parts, interchanged or play along with the band. The three part brass lines are complimentary to the full band arrangement and can also stand alone with the rhythm section for a contemporary band sound.

The addition of extra musicians will create a fuller sound and the use of extra tonal colours will enhance the overall performance, Be creative with the parts using all the musical forces you have to create music which enhances the worship experiences of your congregation.
