Anti-Poverty Week | 16-22 October, 2022
In 2022, Anti-Poverty Week will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The purpose of this event is to increase our understanding of poverty and encourage Australians to collectively act to end it. The theme for 2022 is ‘Poverty: How close are you?’
The Salvation Army wants people to know there is hope to overcome their money problems and we are here to support them.
This page features a series of tools and resources to help faith communities and ALTs engage with and promote Anti-Poverty Week and Moneycare Day 2022. Campaigns, events and promotions can engage the community to seek the support they need to improve their financial wellbeing or overcome a crisis. Events during Anti-Poverty Week can also engage people to advocate.
