Moneycare Financial Counsellors | The best kept secret

The Salvos Moneycare team is dedicated to empowering people to take control of their money without shame so all can experience financial wellbeing. Their focus on hope, clarity and practical support helps people feel more confident and believe in good for themselves.

Moneycare Week 2026 shines a light on one of Australia’s best kept secrets — free, independent, confidential financial counsellors who walk alongside people, helping them take control of their money and their futures. Even so, many people remain unaware of this support or feel too unsure or ashamed to reach out.

Moneycare Week exists to change that story.

This Toolkit contains tips and assets to help you promote The Salvation Army’s financial counselling service and wide range of financial resources during Moneycare Week and throughout the year.

Moneycare Week

At the start of a new year many people think about their finances in light of Christmas spending and the school year dawning. Moneycare Week offers a timely opportunity to share practical tips and resources that help people feel capable and supported.

During the week of 18–24 January 2026, there will be media activity and digital advertising to promote Moneycare Week.

If you would like to highlight Moneycare Week in your mission expression during January, either physically or digitally, the resources below can help.

Please note: Moneycare has a wide range of resources for the community. Please feel free to share the public-facing Moneycare Financial Resources page with your community: The Salvation Army Moneycare Financial Resources page
