Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Join us as an intern and gain hands on experience in one of our impactful Social programs or Community Engagement – emergency relief teams.
The Internship is a year-long, part-time (generally one day per week) paid position which can be extended for a further year.
The program will help you gain valuable skills in social work, chaplaincy, focusing on areas of alcohol and other drugs, family violence, homelessness or youth and education programs. Alternatively, be part of our Emergency Relief programs. Learning skills in assessment and case management in a variety of Doorways locations across Melbourne in a multicultural hub, Local Corps and PALS center. You will be part of a team who provides essential support and resources to individuals and families facing crisis situations.
Gain hands-on experience in the community services sector while you study or retrain.
Build your resume and network connections while you gain a deeper understanding of the connection between our Corps and Social programs.
Whether you’re coming from business, hospitality, education or another field, this is your chance to - believe in good, become a part of it and make a difference!
Learn from one of our Social work stream specialists, who will support your professional, academic and spiritual development. Develop a strong peer network with other Salvo’s across Victoria with regular supervision and academic support for studies.
