TSA’s CaLD Emerging Leaders Training is a program dedicated to equipping and developing emerging Salvo leaders from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in greater discipleship and leadership opportunities. This is a nine month training program, designed for flexible learning and includes online modules, monthly tutorials and mentoring. Topics include intercultural communication and leadership, discipleship and Christian living as a leader, hearing the voice of God and much more.

Program Outcomes:

  • To identify emerging leaders and inspire their passion to serve within the Salvation Army or participate in TSA accredited trainings such as officer training

  • To orient emerging leaders from CaLD backgrounds of the doctrine, mission, structure and practice of the Salvation Army as a Christian movement

  • To inspire emerging leaders to grow in greater knowledge and relationship with Christ and encourage Christ-like character in leadership

  • To assist emerging leaders across the Salvos, from CaLD backgrounds to develop their capability and confidence to minister across intercultural contexts within Australia

  • To equip emerging leaders, through interactive teaching and practical application of learning, to take on new responsibilities in their local corps

  • To develop new networks and establish ongoing mentoring relationships for participants
