Breaking News: Australia Eastern Territory launches new communications tool

Dear executive leaders,

Thank you for participating in our test of a new communications tool, Direct from the TC.

Normally what you would find on this page is further information regarding the SMS or email you have just received. But as this is a test message, allow us to introduce you to this new resource.

Direct from the TC is an email- and sms-based mailing list that will allow us to deliver major announcements directly to Salvationists and friends of The Salvation Army with greater speed and efficiency than ever before. It can be used to deliver high-value messages such as:

  • Breaking news from around The Salvation Army
  • Emergency updates and critical information in times of crisis or natural disaster
  • First-to-know previews of upcoming campaigns.
  • Information on major events and initiatives that affect Salvationists, employees, and friends of The Salvation Army.

Using our existing database of Self Denial supporters, we have a pre-existing listing of over 13,000 people that we can communicate directly with already. We have also prepared an accompanying policy framework that will ensure this channel remains effective, powerful, and uncluttered, ensuring every message has maximum impact.

We look forward to working with you to communicate effectively with Salvationists, employees and friends from around the territory... hopefully with our very first 'official' message being the actual announcement of the new General very shortly.

God bless you,

The Communications & Public Relations Department
