This 2.35 video has been prepared to introducing BPAY as the new method for giving online to your local Salvation Army Corps in Australia.

It can be downloaded as well for your local use.

Transcript

G’day, I’m Adrian Kistan from the Salvation Army’s Mission Support team. I am also involved in the leadership of my local corps at Auburn. I believe that central to the life of disciple is to live out of generosity – with our time, our skills, abilities as well as financial resources that we have been blessed with. So helping our people to do this easily and safely actually helps us grow disciples.

We’re about to start on a new way of online giving. The Salvation Army Australia has selected BPAY as the direct banking method by which all online giving will be received.

BPAY is a secure, convenient, and easily accessible payment service, available through most online and mobile banking applications.

Before any money is transferred, transaction details will be displayed on your screen, so you can feel confident your money is going to where it’s needed.

And because we want to be faithful stewards of God’s resources, BPAY will help keep banking costs low while ensuring efficient processes.

So, how does it work?

Your corps has a unique BPAY biller code and you will have an individual Reference Number for your own secure giving. If you have a giver or envelope number, you’ll notice your BPAY reference number is derived from that number. Just ask your Officer for your corps' BPAY biller code.

To setup recurring giving, select the recurring option in your bank facility, choosing the frequency and end date.

We’ve successfully piloted this method with the people at Ringwood Corps, and we thank them for their support.

This change will only impact you if you choose to give online.

So, whether you give electronically or by cash, we want to thank you for your generous giving to your local corps.  Your giving is an expression of love, gratitude, trust, and joy toward our generous God.

If you have any questions about BPAY, please talk to your Corps leader or email the Generous Culture team.

God bless you.
