Blake's Story - Blacktown Youthlink iDiscover Programme

15 May 2014

John Leard oversees the iDiscover program, a 5 week adventure therapy program for disadvantaged young people aged 15-20, in Western Sydney. The program seeks to enable the participants to rise above life's circumstances such as addictions, unemployment, and low self esteem.

Blake Fielding, says the program pushed him out of his comfort zone, and is the best thing he's ever done. Simone Condopoulos is the HR Director for Asia Pacific for the Brady Corporation and encourages people to support the Red Shield Appeal. She says The Salvation Army is there to help anyone, and by giving to the appeal they have the opportunity to change lives.

The Red Shield Appeal would be impossible without the thousands of volunteer collectors who give their time each year to the annual Doorknock. To volunteer, visit our Red Shield Doorknock registration page.
