I Have Heard Their Cries

‘The Israelites groaned under the slavery and cried out. Out of the slavery their cry for help rose up to God. God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.’ (Exodus 2:23-25, NRSV).

The Salvation Army is deeply committed to fighting and responding to modern slavery and human trafficking. We have a theological and historical mandate. We believe prayer is foundational and an essential, powerful tool to fight for freedom and work towards a world free from exploitation.

We invite you to join Salvationists and friends around the world on Sunday September 24, to corporately cry out for justice and freedom.

  1. Take the 30 minute LEARN courseIdentifying and Responding to Modern Slavery
  2. Read about the Trafficking and Slavery Safe House: Fighting Modern Slavery
