March 8 is International Women's Day. The theme of this year's resources is 'Accelerate Action'.
'Accelerate Action' is a call for us to put our foot on the accelerator, as we keep working toward gender equality - to do what we can to hurry progress, to increase positive outcomes for women who are suffering hardship simply because of their gender.
The United Nation's theme for IWD this year is 'For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment'.
This is a call for action that will unlock equal rights, power and opportunities for all. Central to this vision is empowering the next generation as catalysts for lasting change. With the love of Jesus, we are called to fight for the rights of women and girls, challenging all forms of violence, discrimination, and exploitation.
Take action to drive gender parity. International Women's Day is a call for us to follow Jesus, celebrate women and end discrimination.
