Every year hundreds of girls leave orphanages in Ukraine without basic life skills. Although the state offers assistance in the form of a room to live and further education, a lack of willpower and knowledge of how life works and to fend for oneself means that many end up on the streets as their only way of survival, selling their bodies to keep them alive. Or they are trafficked abroad.
