Refugee Week: Tresor's Story from Refugee to Community Leader
Tresor and his family escaped the hardships of civil war in East Africa. After spending 18 years in a refugee camp, they were offered asylum in Australia. Starting a new life in Cairns, Tresor joined The Salvation Army and became a street chaplain. He thanks God for his community and that God led him to this place. He knows that God has a plan – “a plan to prosper you and not to harm you ... to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
