The Way | Mission elective - Part 2
Major Darren Dwyer unpacks the difference between simply being on mission and being on the right mission. Through biblical examples—such as Philip feeding the five thousand and the story of Mary and Martha—he shows how Christians can drift into pursuing their own ideas of mission using human strength rather than God’s direction. Major Dwyer reflects on personal experiences of building ministries that looked successful but lacked spiritual empowerment, leading to strain and burnout. Drawing on Acts and the sending of Paul and Barnabas, he highlights the essential role of prayer, fasting, and listening to the Holy Spirit in discerning true calling.
